The Role
We are seeking a conscientious Workshop Keeper to provide high standards of cleaning and hygiene throughout the Patrick Engineering Centre as well as support with the general upkeep and tidiness of the practical areas of the workshops. The successful candidate will take pride in their care of equipment, use appropriate cleaning chemicals in accordance with COSHH regulations and understand essential health and safety guidelines relevant to the Centre.
Our State-of-the-art Patrick Engineering Centre is home to the Design, Engineering and Technology department and is well equipped with a wide range of machinery and processing software to support pupils with a range of advanced projects. The upkeep of the Centre supports the effective teaching of DET to our pupils in addition to contributing to our pupils overall experience of the Centre. Please be aware that this role involves a considerable amount of physical effort in that there are frequent periods of standing, walking, medium and occasional heavy lifting of equipment.
The Applicant
To be successful in this role you will need to be a reliable and hardworking individual who can work diligently, using their own initiative in addition to following instruction. The ideal candidate will have experience in working in a cleaning capacity and an awareness of health and safety in the workplace.
Application Information
Hours of work: 27.5 hours per week, 9.00 – 15:00, Monday – Friday (with a 30 minute lunch break)
Working weeks: Term time only plus two weeks (paid for 39.21 weeks, to include entitlement to holiday pay)
Salary: £10,416 per Annum (£20,092 FTE)
Anticipated Start Date: To be discussed
Contract Term: Part-time, Permanent
